Working with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer clients is not a specialty I added — it is woven into the fabric of my practice and my life. I understand the particular terrain: coming out at any age, internalized shame, family rejection, relationship dynamics, chosen family, community, and the specific grief and resilience that comes with living authentically in a world that has not always made that easy.
I also recognize that many LGBTQ+ clients are navigating a particularly painful political and social moment right now. The loss of freedoms and protections, medical care being undermined, the fear, the grief, the visibility — that stress belongs in the room. I see it, I hold it, and I am here for all of it.
